Lunch at Flying Chillies @Gardens

Friday, September 17, 2010 3 Comments

Sooooooo it was a public holiday yesterday and I had the time to pick up my sister's engagement video and coffee table book as well as have a long lunch at Gardens afterwards

I loved the pad Thai, it was spicy and the drink was very very cooling. But it made my heart burn worse and I had to see the doc again this morning for another round of meds. Last week she treated me for U**, which caused the heart burn in the first place.

Some pictures after the jump

Pad Thai noodles (made vegetarian for me)

It cost me RM 16.50

And I loved every spicy bite of it!

This drink was called FC punch and it cost me RM 12. It was a concoction of strawberry, soursoup and mango. Wiped it all. Total tab including tax? RM 33

Lunch at Italianness

Sunday, May 16, 2010 0 Comments
After a whole morning of shopping, we decided to rest our souls and fill our stomachs with food from Italiannies. I loved that place, the decor is lovely, the staff friendly (although there was another haul at servers and menu; this time less Filipinos and more Indians and cheaper looking menu)

But the pizzas, as always fresh and nice, but sadly my brother's daiquiri didn't live up to its name. It tasted like strawberry smoothie. Hands down Chili's KLCC makes the best frozen margarita and daiquiris!

Anyways, some pictures after the jump!

Our plates

My drink. It was a mix of vodka and cream. I actually loved it, but it was a bit on the dry side

Looked like Malibu mixed with toddy

Daiquiri that tastes like blended strawberries

Yum Yum, spinach and artichoke farmagio

Chicken Pizza but had replaced the chicken with broccoli. We requested mushrooms but the server heard broccoli

Cluttered plates. When he (yes, my brother wanted to treat me) I chatted with one of my ex-colleague back in BU and she updated me with the rest of the clan's activities. Someone got married to Italiannies manager @the Curve and is heavily pregnant, etc. I tipped my server RM 10.Told her, no one used to tip the hostess/servers and it is certainly good to get something out of the hard work and poor pay they have to put up with

My gorgeous self!

Valentine Lunch @ Sushi King Mid Valley

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 0 Comments
I was extremely hungry after a hard day's work of doing my cousin's assignment and learning from my senior members on some weekend activity scheduled from customer for 3 different servers.

I stopped at Mid Valley for a bit if lunch...did struck me as odd seeing a lot of couples prodding about..then I remembered it was Valentine's. Crap. And here I was queuing up to go to Sushi King. Anyways I ate the the bar so it was pretty much me and my lunch sans Satish

Japanese tofu in some sweet sauce

My soba

Both dishes cost me RM 17 inc tax

Dessert at La Senza Mid Valley

Friday, November 27, 2009 0 Comments
I was hungry as hell today. I had skipped breakfast at home; gulped down a glass of milk at 5 AM, and after it was an ongoing battle between me and my stomach. Luckily the guy at work had a quick lunch so I packed my gears and went down to grab a cab/bus...whichever came first. The sun was shinning, and I was getting nicely baked when the damn U82 changed it route today and decided to skip the offices. I had to walk out to catch a cab from the highway.

Damn public holiday. You know I didn't realise it was public holiday till I sat in an half empty bus to KL. And by time the driver hit KL Sentral-guess who was the only one left? Yous truly.

Ok, so now where were we? The cab. Right then I had wanted to go to the cheap Chinese Vegan Shop at Pasar Seni but I changed my mind when I saw the empty roads and hit MV instead. The roads were empty alright. But MV was packed with people. Traffic moved from the roads to malls. And there were so many kids today I felt like trampling on them! Damn, I'm mean. I was heading to the food court on the 5th floor when I came across La Senza and decided to take a peek. I mean the last time I bought something from La Senza was 6 months back. A black sheer camidoll. I like camidolls. Sooooo, I saw Christmas goodies and bought 5 pair of knickers. Then I saw the Christmas issue and I saw a purple camidoll I liked. It was satin-sheer. Lovely. MV didn't have my size in stock so I went to Gardens and bought it from there. And since there was a 15% off, I added a satin-silk knockout knicker.

Then I remembered the real reason I went to MV, decided not to get carried away and went to the food court, had a proper lunch, went to Gelato's and had dessert there (strawberry, pineapple and mango)

Then I came across MPH and went in to buy my sister's list of books. I only found one, (the kids!!! they were everywhere) I had to tiptoe!! What are children doing in MPH? Unleashed some more!!! On the way to the counter I came across Dog Days and added that to the stack.

Walked to the South Court, grabbed a waiting cab and went back to work. One more hour, wait a minute!! 15 more mins to 5PM!!

After a whole day of bouncing around in places, we settled down for a heavy meal at Italianness in Gardens. I have always loved this place. I used to work in their main branch in One U back in Uni days. They had changed the menu and added in 5 more dishes into it. I stuck to the best tasting vege food available. Food was good, portions were OK, pizza was fantastic. Dessert was smacking tasty. Loved it all.

Starters: Toasted bruschetta and Spinach & artichoke formaggio
Main course : Pizza (damn I forgot the name but we asked to remove the chicken)
Dessert : Tiramisu

Formaggio

Bruschetta

Classic martini and tropical sunshine

Tiramisu, loved it so much

Tab : RM 159 inc tax

Tip : RM 20

Drinks With BFF @ Chili's Mid Valley

Saturday, October 10, 2009 0 Comments
I had completely forgotten to meet up with Manggai at 4 on a Monday evening till she called and reminded me. I was halfway thru a biscuit and I rushed to shower, changed my clothes and ran out of the house. I was in luck I got the bus in time! Manggai and I had dinner and drinks in Chilli's, Mid Valley. How did we finally meet up? By chance, on the other day I was going to the Indian salon to get my face waxed and stripped in prep for Diwali and on my way back I bumped into Manggai (who was also headed to the same place to shape her eyebrows!) This was my first time to Chili's in MV. The toilet was smelly and I felt sorry for the diners seated near the toilet. But other than that, Chili's was good. I liked Chili's @ KLCC best. I had 3 mugs of margaritas ( RM 5 off during happy hours), bottomless chips, Manggai ordered some soup and salad. All together the tab came up to RM 89. (I was expecting it to go up to RM 100)

After much munching and refilling of chips, and months and months of collected gossips to be exchanged over drinks we left. I was pleasantly high for a while, we went to Jewelery shops, ended up in Watson's and by the time I reached home I was 100% sober again. I was sad the day ended so fast. Sigh.
So here's some pictures after the jump!

Bottomless toastes chips (damn these were addictive!)

The mushroom and chicken (no chicken present, maybe they just added the ESSENCE of chicken and named it mushroom + chicken soup!!)

Salad was good because Manggai didn't complain about it

1st Mug

2nd Mug

3rd Mug (Can you see a sad swirl of Grenadine on top?)

2 gorgeous ladies!!
